I loved making these fun earrings. First I constructed a “cage” for the stone. When I looked at the cage on my bench it reminded me of a little figure with outstretched arms waiting for a hug, thus the name “huggie”. The figure’s arms were wrapped tightly around the Opal, and the stone was set.
